““The support that you are giving to the children, their parents and teachers is amazing. Psychosocial and educational rehabilitation is very important for children and their development. It is inspiring that you focus on inclusion and creating an environment responsive to children’s needs. Knowing that even the more developed countries such as Austria struggle to accomplish the targets outlined by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities, it is not surprising that BiH also experiences some challenges. As inclusion is a process, it cannot be achieved in one day, and one’s actions are hugely important to drive the process forward with education making a significant difference.
We were impressed that over 3.000 teachers and community representatives participated in different trainings so far. These numbers show the will of change which pulsates in the population. DUGA gives future generations the opportunity to understand the needs of others and to encourage them in the period of change and development. This is the only way for the society to prosper and achieve a higher level of satisfaction. Contrast make humans unique, interesting and exciting. You have a drive to do this, you make a difference. Thank you for inspiring us and granting us an opportunity to visit you! “
